The Queniborough Pre-School Partnership was established in early 1997 through an agreement between the Queniborough Pre-School and the Queniborough Primary School.
The Partnership will offer daily sessions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, focusing on the Early Years Foundation Stage, as stipulated by The Local Education Authority.
The Partnership is run by a Voluntary Management Committee (VMC) of elected parents and includes the Pre-School Manager.
The Partnership operates on one site; Queniborough Village Hall.
Queniborough Pre-School is registered by Ofsted.
We are open for 38 weeks each year during term time.

Session times 9am-12pm 9am-1pm (lunch club) or 9am-3pm
Wednesdays and Fridays 9am-1pm
Session times 9am-12pm and 9am-1pm (lunch club)
Lunch club is where children are invited to bring a packed lunch from home and they sit with their friends as a social event to eat their lunch. We can also offer pay as you go sessions, just ask if you need an extra session or an extra lunch club session.
A £20.00 registration fee is payable upon registration of your child in order to secure the place, this will then be deducted from your first invoice. If your child will be claiming the free funded hours only, this £20.00 will be returned upon your child starting at the Pre-School.
Fees are £4.75 per hour for 3-4 year olds and £5.25 for 2 year olds. All fees must still be paid if children are absent.
For your child to keep her/his place at the setting, you must pay the fees. We are in receipt of nursery education funding for two, three and four year olds; where funding is not received, then fees apply.
We also accept the childcare vouchers that employees can claim from their employers. If you are in receipt of Tax Credits you might be able to claim for your child’s care.
We receive Nursery Education Funding from Leicestershire County Council. When your child reaches the age for funding, (please refer to the table) we will issue you with a Parents Statement of Undertaking (PSOU) for you to fill out. This will enable your child to receive up to a maximum of 30 hours a week term time.
For further information, please read the ‘Information for Parents’ document that is given to you when your child is of eligible age.
You will also be required to supply the pre-school with a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate.
The Pre school has an admin fee to cover unmet costs through lack of funding and increased running costs. Because of this and the implications of Covid-19 measures required to re-open the preschool, the following costs will be added to your childcare fees, either funded or non-funded.
For all children who receive government funding for their preschool place (FEEE), a daily admin cost of £1.50/day will be charged.
For all children who are self -funded a daily admin cost of £1.00/day will be charged.
All admin charges will be invoiced by the pre-school at the beginning of each term and can be paid in full or weekly, depending on the parent preference. The admin cost is applicable to each child whether they are attending a morning session an afternoon session or both.
